Chewy & Fudgy Butterscotch Squares

Devour time!  Bake up some of these chewy, fudgy butterscotch chip blondies for your crew!  They have a rich butterscotch taste, everyone loves them and they are so easy to make!

All you need is 1 bowl, a mixer, the ingredients, an 8×8 pan and a hankering for butterscotch.  Way to lure us in, right?

You can seriously amp these up by serving it with ice cream and an easy homemade butterscotch sauce.  Talk about butterscotch heaven a la mode.  YES PLEASE!

No matter how they’re served, butterscotch anything is always welcome, because of it’s warm brown sugar and buttery tones.  Can’t you just feel the love?

Measuring flour correctly when baking blondies, bars, cakes, bread and cookies is essential.

It’s one of the most important tips when baking, so the finished product doesn’t become dried out and crumbly.  This obviously can make or break that fudgy texture you were striving for, for sure. No thanks!

If you want more information on measuring flour and flour in general, check out Flour Basics & How to Measure Flour.

IN A NUTSHELL: Here’s the breakdown when measuring flour by volume.

Dipping the measuring cup into the flour will cause the flour to be packed down and will result in too much flour in your recipe, so….

  • Fluff up the flour.
  • Lightly spoon the flour into your dry-cup measurement, without packing it down.
  • Scrape off the excess with a straight edge by using the handle of a spoon or knife.

So, now can we make some Chewy & Fudgy Butterscotch Squares?

HUNGRY! 🙂
